"About 178,000 people die from excessive drinking each year" (CDC, 2024).
As an organization dedicated to raising awareness about liver cancer, we often face this question: Are we against alcohol? The answer is simple: No, we are not against alcohol. However, our mission focuses on addressing alcohol addiction and its devastating effects on liver health.
Alcohol, when consumed in moderation and with control, can be an enjoyable part of life for many people. From a glass of wine at dinner to celebratory toasts at weddings, alcohol is deeply embedded in human culture. We recognize this and respect personal choice.
However, the line between moderation and overconsumption is thin. Excessive and prolonged alcohol use can lead to addiction and serious health complications, including liver cancer. Our focus is on preventing these outcomes by spreading awareness and providing resources to those struggling with alcohol dependency.
Liver cancer is often linked to chronic liver diseases caused by alcohol addiction. Addiction robs individuals of their health, happiness, and future. It is not alcohol itself that is the issue but rather the lack of moderation and control that can spiral into dependency.
By tackling addiction, we aim to address one of the root causes of liver cancer. This approach allows us to make a meaningful impact on public health while respecting individual choices about alcohol consumption.
Our nonprofit takes a proactive stance by:
Educating communities: Hosting workshops and seminars about the risks of alcohol addiction and its connection to liver cancer.
Providing resources: Offering support and guidance for those seeking help with alcohol dependency.
Promoting moderation: Encouraging responsible drinking habits through campaigns and public service announcements.
Advocating for awareness: Partnering with healthcare professionals to emphasize the importance of liver health in regular check-ups.
We believe in fostering a supportive and inclusive community. Whether you drink occasionally, abstain, or are in recovery, your voice matters in the fight against liver cancer. Together, we can spread awareness, support those in need, and create lasting change.
